Volunteers

One of the main goals of the Pleasanton American Little League Board is to encourage participation in Little League Baseball, and one of the key ingredients to a successful year in Little League is volunteer support.

To encourage participation at all levels of play, we have provided an updated list of volunteer opportunities. It is our goal to have 100% participation of all parents or guardians.

We have listed the most common areas that each team will need help in managing and organizing their team for the upcoming season. These are presented in approximate order of time commitment.

Position Title	Duties
Board member	League administration
Team Manager / Head Coach	Responsible for all aspects of their team operation
Team Assistant Coach	Assist manager in practices and games
Team Parent	Main communication link between the league coaches and team families
Field Maintenance / Set Up	Responsible for field preparation before games (AA and higher). Weekday games only.
Score keeper	Game support and record keeping (AA and higher)
Publicity	Records the highlights of the game for submission to local newspapers.
Special Events Volunteer	Support for league events: Evaluations, Opening Day, Picture Day, Snack bar, etc. (all levels)

Volunteer applications must be completed by all board members, managers, coaches, team parents, and others that are in contact with players.
